Catering
Upwey House is set up beautifully for self-catering with everything a budding chef might need. However, if you prefer to put your feet up and someone else take the reins, we highly recommend the following:
Hungry Mule Catering
Hungry Mule Catering, headed up by Sam Hill, thrive on fresh local produce and fresh ideas, taking great pride in offering food reflecting the herds’ vast knowledge of varied cuisine, whilst utilising the bountiful and beautiful selection of lovely local produce that Dorset offers.
With an experienced and professional team, they provide bespoke, gastronomic and original catering for any event – be it picnic, BBQ, cosy dinner or large event catering. They also have a drop and dine option. Offering original and alternative, as well as traditional catering options, you can either stay safe with flavours you know and love, or branch out for a more exotic experience.

There is a wealth of excellent cuisine in the local area many specialising in local Dorset produce and fresh seafood. The Old Ship Inn, in Upwey itself, is a 5-10 minute walk away and offers very decent food with old world ambience, a private dining area and a small beer garden. A small selection of excellent eateries further afield include The Shell Bay Cafe, The Nothe Tavern, The Hive Beach Café at Burton Bradstock and The Pig on the Beach at Studland.
